Kingdom of Heaven

Why does any Christian need to learn about the Kingdom of Heaven? Why does Jesus Christ ask us to pray for a Kingdom to come upon the Earth where God's will shall be done as it is in Heaven? Isn't the Kingdom of Heaven supposed to be rather in Heaven? Jesus went about the cities and villages preaching the gospel of the Kingdom. Compared to that, what is the predominant teaching regarding the Kingdom among present-day churches?

Prosperity Theology

Prosperity preachers proclaim to their flocks - "God wants you to enjoy worldly success, wealth, and health. No sickness! No poverty. That's your reward. Claim it! Now repeat this with me again!" And they usually encourage their captive audience to indulge in verbal chants/repetitions of Old Testament Bible verses with Amens and what not. They also demand one-tenth of people's earnings as a tithe to the church. Is this all biblical? What did Jesus say about seeking wealth and worldly success?

The Greatest Commandments of Love

Christ suffering for mankind

When asked what was the greatest commandment, Jesus replied – “Love (Greek: agape) the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love (agape) your neighbor as yourself” Matt 22:37-39. Greek has many words for love. Here Matthew uses agape. How is it unique? How can we show agape to God and humanity?

A Parable for the Ages

Some take the Parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus literally to preach torment. But if taken literally, the parable seems to imply absurdities -- Lazarus is blessed not because of faith, but just because he was sick and poor. So will only the poor/sick will be saved? And if this hell is literal, mustn’t Abraham's bosom also be a real place where millions of poor will reside? Jesus told this story as a symbolic lesson to the Pharisees. What really was his message?

Return of Christ

What do Daniel’s prophecies predict about world-controlling empires and governments? What happens after the fall of Rome, the last of the Great Empires? Who is the Son of Man who is to receive the kingdom and dominion from God?

The Calling of the Chosen

Just like Apostle Paul predicted, savage wolves arose from among Christianity's own, distorted biblical truths and fooled a majority of the believers. And the mass deception lasted through many centuries, through the 1260 year Anti-Christ reign of the Papacy, continued in many forms even among the Protestant Reformation churches and is still widely prevalent today.  That's why all mainstream denominations today have a variety of doctrines that go against the foundational beliefs of original Christianity. So what is a true biblical believer to do in these times?

Studying, Fishing & Becoming Christ-like

Christ, Mary and Martha

We want to study the Scriptures more diligently and grow in our knowledge about God and Christ. How does the gospel race help us with that? Jesus promises his followers that he sends them out as fishers of people. How does that relate to our gospel race? Everyone wants to become Christ-like, don't we? Does the Bible explicitly mention anywhere a way to achieve that?

A History of What the Hell!

Pagan ideas of a fiery netherworld date back as far as Egypt's Nimrod. Way before Christ, in the 6th century BC, Zoroaster taught the Persians of a Lord of Lies who lived in the dark reaches under the earth recording the deeds of men as debits and credits. After death, souls went to be judged, and if found evil, would be doomed to torment. To easily win pagan converts, the church adopted these theories and began relating Zoroastic meanings to symbolic verses. Apostle Paul predicted such distortions (apostasy) would occur (Acts 20:29-30).

Resurrection of the Dead

The Scriptures say that all the dead shall be raised back to life when Jesus returns. Will everyone come to life in an instant? The Bible says there are two resurrections. Why does it say, 'Blessed are those of the first resurrection'?

The Church

Jesus Christ was the first to use the word 'Church' in the Bible. Today, many think of churches as buildings. What is the Church actually, according to the Bible? The New Testament root word for 'church' is the Greek ekklesia. What does that mean? How does the Bible describe the original churches? How does one become part of Jesus Christ’s Church? Are there any specific things that need to be done?
