Who’s the God of History?

‘I declared the former things long ago and they went forth from My mouth, and I proclaimed them. Suddenly I acted, and they came to pass...Therefore I declared them to you long ago, Before they took place I proclaimed them to you’’ (Isaiah 48:3,5). It makes sense. Only the true God, the Architect of Man’s destiny, can foretell events of Man’s history. Where does this God make His prophetic declarations? Has any of it come true? And what about prophecies by other gods?

A Hell of a Story

Won’t it be alright to use hell fire (even if it’s false) as a threat to frighten people into submitting to God? Not really. A disappointed God says, ‘Their fear toward me is taught by the precepts of men’ (Isa 29:13). He rather desires a willingly obedient heart driven by love for Him and goodness - not by fear. And the idea of torment is abhorrent to God. God forbade torture in His Law. Would a God who commands us to love our enemies, wish to burn them forever?

Judgment Day

Those of the second resurrection wake up to a "krisis" i.e. Judgment. It is indeed Judgment Day for them. But what exactly is Judgment Day? Why do Scriptures link it to the Kingdom of God? And how long is it? Is it a 24-hour day? And why does the Bible say the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness when God's judgments come upon the Earth?

Faith in Jesus Christ

The period of the Law Covenant showed us mankind needs to change its mindset from self-justification efforts and understand the need for a Savior i.e. Christ. But how can Christ justify us when we still remain in our fallen flesh? When Christ taught us to pray for forgiveness, did he mention how often do we need that? If the Law showed us Christ's necessity, what happened to it after his arrival? Is it still in vogue?

The Real ‘Hells’

Four words have been translated as hell in the Bible – Sheol, Hades, Gehenna and Tartaroo. The first one is Hebrew (Old Testament) and the rest are Greek (New Testament). Do all of these words mean the same? (At least that's what many of the English bible translations imply). Or do they mean different things?
When we refer to Hebrew and Greek dictionaries and the Bible's own descriptions of these words, we find deeper insight into their meanings.
And we also get clarity on many seemingly contradictory verses in the English bibles.

An Age of Restoration

Why does Peter promise that when Jesus returns, it will be the Times of Restitution of All Things? He says those times are described by the Holy Prophets of the Old Testament. What are the promises recorded in the Bible about this Age of Restoration? What do these Kingdom prophecies predict regarding justice, world peace, health and prosperity of mankind? What exactly is the future that God has in store for humanity?

Whom to worship?

The Athanasian Creed, widely accepted and followed by present-day Protestant denominations and the Vatican, says the Trinity is to be worshipped. It talks about three Persons of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, but all being one God. Jesus said we need to know what we worship (John 4:22). So it becomes important that we study the Scriptures and try to understand whom the Bible says we need to worship.
